Recorded live at the Mozaic Room Coffeehouse in Avon, MA
and at the Norma Kent Center in Abington, MA between February and June of
1999, this CD offers twelve songs that have become favorites at Arnold +
Gretz performances. Starting with the traditional "The Water is
Wide," it contains three of Steve's original satirical songs, plus
seven cover songs written by some of the finest singer/songwriters on the
contemporary folk music scene. The CD covers a range of musical emotions,
from the peace and quiet of small town living, to the craziness of
everyday life in the suburbs; from songs about discovering one's own
identity to lyrical love songs--and ends with the reassuring words of
"Be
Not Afraid". Steve is on the left, Doug is on the right, and it is all
live! |
